Offering events to cultivate connections to your inner knowing + Earth through curiosity, hands-on experiencing, and herbal education.

  • Mini Consults at Milk Thistle

If you’ve been curious about working with a clinical herbalist or looking for a more personalized approach to wellness, this is a great opportunity to dip your toes in.

Mini consults allow us to explore an aspect of your current experience of health and wellness, and find a blend of herbs that are best suited to your needs and personal body constitution.

During our 20 minutes together, we will share a cup of tea and sit in conversation over what you would like to work on. You will then receive one custom formulation, which may be in the form of tea, tincture, glycerite, or topical preparation depending on your preference/need. If there is an additional pre-formulated product that could be suitable, that may be recommended as well.

Mini consults are best for those moving through simple, acute expressions of imbalance or who are looking for general foundational or seasonal support. For example, this may look like those looking for support with: digestive discomfort, anxiety, sleep issues, dryness, mood boosting, or general guidance with traditional nutrition or navigating seasonal changes.

Please note: These consults are not suited for long-standing, chronic imbalances, complex conditions (ex: autoimmune, hormone issues), or those who are on medication. This is not a substitute for a clinical session.

    Duration: 20 minutes
    Exchange: $25

  • Full Consults at Milk Thistle

Sessions are portals for unearthing what’s happening within the body. Through hearing your story, exploring current physical and emotional experiences, and tongue diagnostics, I discover patterns that lead us to root causation of imbalance. From there, I create intentional herbal formulas tailored to your constitution, accompanied by food and lifestyle supplementation to address both core and surface expression of imbalance. Each protocol is entirely individual.

Once your session is booked, you will receive an email from Lia with an intake form. If cost is at all prohibitive, please email Lia directly at wayouttherecoaching@gmail.com to discuss payment and sliding scale options.

*Please note that the cost of herbs is not included with either consult, but sourcing is always provided and budget is discussed.

  • Throughout the Northern Hemisphere, seasonal shifts are being whispered from the land to our bones. We are a part of the cyclic changes taking place, and by digging our roots in to follow the season, we can find greater radiance in ourselves and balance in our lives.

The Autumn Study series will take you through three workshops in exploring the qualities of the season, how to live in alignment with these rhythms, and learning how to make herbal medicines that support your body through this time of the year.

In each workshop, we will: discover flavors and elements associated with Autumn, learn seasonal practices and recipes, sit in tea meditation, get to know one plant in-depth per workshop, and make plant medicine together.

Tensleep Climbing Festival Plant Walk

  • 07.09.23
    Tensleep Canyon, WY

  • Learn more about Tensleep Canyon at the Plants of the Crag Plant Walk.

Botanical identification is a fun way to get to know your common crag plants and a skill that can help you broaden your understanding of the environment you’re climbing in.

Getting curious and observing is how we build relationships with the Earth, helping us to be better informed land stewards. Part of it is learning to become more present and drop down into our bodies. We become aware of what the plants tell us about the landscape, what role they play in their environment, and our own connection to them.

We will be meandering down the approach trail to the Psychoactive Walls (near Leigh Creek), becoming more familiar with the area, and learning the flora along the way.
