Hi there! I’m Lia, a Clinical Herbalist, Health Coach, Naturalist, Earth-based Creator, and space weaver with Boricua and Ukrainian roots.

My path began as a seed in my childhood, sung to me in the sounds of my mother brewing ginger tea on the stove when I had a cold and my little feet hitting the ground as I ran alongside the Atlantic ocean. It was a simple and innate curiosity for the world around me, and a safety I found hidden beneath the conifers beside my home.

From severe imbalance in my body and life, I awakened to the world of herbalism in search of relief, answers, and somewhere I belonged. I decided to study at ArborVitae School of Traditional Herbalism and apprenticed with Herbalist Christopher Rogers in Brooklyn, NY.

Soon after, I relocated to California and assisted in the creation of the Green Wisdom Herbal Marketplace in Long Beach with event curation and planning, and eventually began teaching. To provide a source of accessible herbal support, education, and community-building, I co-founded Rooted Herbal Collective, where I developed curriculum for public classes, facilitated group discussions, and designed marketing materials.

I went on to complete three additional years of clinical herbal training and advanced study at Land of Verse. I’m a certified holistic health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and austere care and first aid trained through The Human Path.

My travels have captivated and fostered my tenderness towards all lands, allowing me to carry a knowledge base of a diverse range of ecosystems across the contiguous United States and deepening my love for field botany. It’s also what led me to dive further into the vast High Sierra and become a California Naturalist.

I’m driven to guide others in remembering, building, and stewarding meaningful relationships as a means of cultivating a future where the health of both humans and Earth flourish.

I’m currently based out of the Morongo Basin, California, offering 1:1 herbal consultations, plant medicine-making workshops, and private gatherings.

May we be held by and continue to hold our connections to life.
